On 1 May 2025, our new terms of use came into effect, which prohibited carrying weapons included in the the Weapons Act (Waffengesetz in German). With the introduction of the knife and weapons ban across the entire Berlin public transport system, which is valid from 17 July 2025, it is now explicitly forbidden to carry all weapons and any kind of knife on Berlin’s public transport.
