BVG Muva: Accessible connections in all of Berlin
If an elevator is broken, a station is not accessible, or you can’t get on your bus or train for another reason then you can rely on a BVG Muva to take you to where you need to go. This is what we call our accessible van service. Our vans will take you from one S-Bahn station, U-Bahn station or Bus stop to another within a radius of five kilometres – without any extra charges. It is aimed at all mobility-impaired Berliners as well as seniors, people with prams or small children, pregnant people, injured people and those carrying luggage.
You can order the BVG Muva service via the BVG call center or the app if the route you want to take is inaccessible due to a lift failure or overcrowded transport. The vehicle will take you within a five kilometre radius to any S-Bahn, U-Bahn or bus stop of your choice. All our vehicles are accessible and have a child seat for children of all weight classes and sizes. The rides are combined, so you won’t necessarily travel alone, and other people can get on and off at any point. BVG Muva is available weekdays from 4:00 in the morning until 1:30 at night and around the clock from Friday to Saturday as well as weekends. For bookings and questions, the BVG Muva call center is available 24/7 at (030) 256 55 555.
If you want to use BVG Muva, you need either a valid VBB ticket or a valid badge in your disability ID card. Accompanying persons and guide dogs travel free of charge of course. There is enough space on board for aids such as walking sticks, wheelchairs and other items.
